Job Overview : As a Waiter/Waitress at our beach club, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional service to our guests, ensuring they have an unforgettable dining experience by the sea. From taking orders and serving meals to providing personalized recommendations and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, you will be at the forefront of our customer service efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival, escort them to their tables, and provide attentive and friendly service throughout their dining experience. Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests or inquiries.
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately, using a handheld device or order pad. Ensure orders are entered correctly into the point-of-sale (POS) system and relayed to the kitchen or bar in a timely manner.
  • Familiarize yourself with the menu offerings, including food items, cocktails, wines, and other beverages. Make knowledgeable recommendations based on guest preferences and dietary restrictions.
  • Serve food and drinks promptly and professionally, following proper serving techniques and presentation standards. Monitor tables for refills, clear empty dishes and glassware, and reset tables efficiently for the next guests.
  • Promote daily specials, signature dishes, and beverage promotions to enhance the guest experience and increase sales. Suggest additional menu items or upgrades based on guest preferences and budget.
  • Present bills accurately, process payments securely, and handle cash transactions with integrity. Thank guests for their patronage and invite them to return for future visits.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the dining areas, including tables, chairs, and service stations. Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper handling of food and beverages.
  • Work collaboratively with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other team members to ensure smooth service operations. Communicate effectively to coordinate order timing and address any guest concerns or special requests.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience as a waiter/waitress or in a customer service role, preferably in a beach club, restaurant, or hospitality setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic math skills for handling payments and making change.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage terminology, menu items, and preparation methods.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical stamina and agility to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods.
  • Outdoor work environment in a beach club setting, with exposure to sun, sand, and ocean breeze.
  • Variable weather conditions, including heat and humidity, depending on location and season.
  • Fast-paced and dynamic atmosphere, especially during peak hours and special events.
  • Interaction with guests from diverse backgrounds and cultures, requiring adaptability and cultural sensitivity.

General work information

  • Place of Employment: KUDO Hotel and Beach Club
  • Working hours: 6 days a week/ 48 hrs. per week and earlier or later as needed.
  • Day off as detailed below:
    • Low season (May – October): 6 days a month.
    • High season (November – April): 4 days a month.
