Responsibilities
- Responsibilities and essential job duties are not limited to the following:
- Accurately measuring meal ingredients for the Chef de Partie.
- Preparing salads, cold cuts boards, canapes, panini, cold preparations, and others as directed by the Chef de Partie.
- Receiving deliveries and verifying that all ordered items have been delivered timely and are of good quality.
- Taking inventory of restaurant supplies and notifying the supervisor of low or depleted supplies.
- Selecting food to avoid expired and spoiled ingredients and food items stored in the stock rooms, refrigerators, and freezers.
- Performing basic cleaning duties and ensuring that workstations are properly sanitized.
- Plating and presenting meal items as per the Chef de Parties’ instructions.
- Assisting and preparing orders for take away, catering etc.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; higher certification in culinary preferred
- 1-2 years experiences in a similar role
- Good understanding of food, health and safety regulations
- Good communication skills
- Physical abilities to carry out the functions of the job description
- Flexibility to work in shifts
- Able to work in a team environment
