Responsibilities
- Ensure that dishes are prepared and cooked correctly.
- Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of dishes.
- Manage and train any cook helper or commis working with you.
- Coordinate with the external chef /Cloud Kitchen to develop new dishes and menus in accordance with the Brand guidelines and manage purchases of products and food costs.
- Ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed at all times.
- Organize and manage the workstation, ensuring ingredients are readily available and delivered within the required standards.
- Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and prepare Purchase requisitions.
- Ensure consistency in the dish presentation and taste.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- At least 3 years of experience in a role
- Knowledge of food production methods
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene, health and safety legislation
- Ability to quickly learn new recipes and new cooking procedures
- Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Team and Time management skills
- Flexibility to work in shifts
