Key Responsibilities:
- Create and update beverage menus in collaboration with the culinary team, considering current trends, guest preferences, and profitability margins.
- Monitor beverage inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks, and place orders to ensure adequate supply while minimizing waste and controlling costs.
- Establish and maintain relationships with beverage suppliers, negotiate contracts, and coordinate deliveries to ensure quality products are consistently available.
- Train and educate beverage service staff on product knowledge, proper serving techniques, and responsible alcohol service to uphold standards of excellence and compliance with regulations.
- Ensure the quality and consistency of beverage offerings by conducting regular tastings, evaluating presentation standards, and addressing any issues promptly.
- Develop and manage budgets for beverage operations, monitor sales performance, analyze cost variances, and implement strategies to optimize profitability.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations regarding alcohol service, health and safety standards, sanitation practices, and responsible beverage service policies.
- Lead by example in providing exceptional customer service, addressing guest inquiries and concerns, and maintaining a welcoming and hospitable environment.
- Coordinate beverage services for special events, private parties, and functions, including staffing, setup, and execution, to ensure seamless and memorable experiences for guests.
- Supervise and motivate beverage service staff, provide guidance and support, conduct performance evaluations, and foster a positive and cohesive team culture.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience in beverage management or a related role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, wine, and spirits.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and work effectively under pressure.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office suite.
- TIPS certification or equivalent training in responsible alcohol service preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or a related field is advantageous.
- Fast-paced environment, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- May involve standing for extended periods and lifting/moving heavy objects.
- Office-based tasks such as inventory management and budgeting, as well as on-the-floor supervision of beverage service staff.

- Place of Employment: KUDO Hotel and Beach Club
- Working hours: 6 days a week/ 48 hrs. per week and earlier or later as needed.

- Low season (May – October): 6 days a month.
- High season (November – April): 4 days a month.
